Siloam Presbyterian Church

Ministries & outreach

Love, put into action.

At Siloam, we serve God by serving all people. Through nourishment, health, and youth partnerships, our faith reaches beyond our doors.

Community Food Pantry

We welcome all to provide priceless nutrition for the community of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn and beyond.

The pantry began in the early 1960s as the Deacon Board Food Pantry. Since the early 1990s the New York City Food Bank and United Way have been its two major sponsors.

Since 2007 the ministry has served the community in health-related issues through education, health services, and spiritual tools: workshops, health fairs, prayer services, and free tests including HIV/AIDS, blood pressure and blood glucose. A prayer wall in the sanctuary holds the names of loved ones in need of prayer.

  • Health fairs

  • Prayer services

  • Free tests

Free HIV testing every fourth Saturday from 10 AM to 12 noon, alongside the Meet Your Neighbors breakfast; please confirm with the church before you come.

What, know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
