Since 1849

Faith and justice. Always intertwined.

Founded in 1849 under Rev. James A. Gloucester, Siloam offered refuge on the Underground Railroad and helped lead the struggle for equality in New York City’s public schools. Generations of our congregation have answered a simple calling: love our neighbors, and stand for what is right.
